Oui, Dieu a tant aimé le monde qu'il a donné son Fils, son unique, pour que tous ceux qui placent leur confiance en lui échappent à la perdition et qu'ils aient la vie éternelle.

IS: 58:11” THE LORD WILL GUIDE YOU CONTINUALLY, WATERING YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU ARE DRY, AND KEEPING YOU HEALTHY TOO. YOU WILL BE LIKE A WELL-WATERED GARDEN, LIKE AN EVER-FLOWING SPRING.”

Dear precious partners and friends:                                                                August 2010

This has been a very different summer for us but we have seen the hand of the Lord on our lives as He has blessed us with many opportunities for ministry by being at the right place, at the right time, many times just being an encouragement. We had the blessing of having quality time with our children and grandchildren, as well as our great granddaughter. I am almost done with all the doctor’s appointments. The colon polyp was benign. The malignant skin was removed from my back and the healing is progressing. The cataract surgery was yesterday; I went back to the doctor’s today and she is very pleased with the result. One more appointment and I should be finished. Thank you for praying, everything went smoothly.

Our friend of many years, Dave Malkin, left this world for his home in heaven. We flew to Tucson to be part of this memorable occasion where the Lord Jesus was glorified by about three hours of testimonies. Dave had taken care of all the details in the weeks preceding his death. He had chosen his casket and tombstone and even negotiated for more time at the chapel so      everyone who wanted to could testify. He had prepared his wife, Jan, their two sons, Rick and Randy, and grandchildren, to have joy because he would be seeing Jesus. We witnessed the faith testimony of a man who had no fear of death but faced it with courage. Please keep the family in prayer for God’s comforting presence during this difficult time of facing life without Dave. We had the blessing of meeting many old friends and staying a few extra days in Tucson with our dear friends, Jerry and Marion Royston.

We were invited to the 50th anniversary of the Shepherd’s House in Thousand Oaks. The founding pastor of this Foursquare Mission was present and it was very touching to hear the testimony of the Lord’s calling him from Texas to come plant a church in this little cowboy town with a lot of cattle and very few people. He built this chapel with his own hands and even though no one approved, he obeyed God. Over the years, we have seen the Holy Spirit move mightily in this church and there was a sweet presence of the Lord during the celebration.  That evening I was invited to minister at the same home group in Agoura where I was at a few months ago and I spoke on being free in your mind and prayed for almost everyone present.

I received a phone call from a pastor that we are related to by the Holy Spirit.  He was very concerned and troubled about a couple in leadership who had left the church, and were spreading discord. I told him we would go the next Sunday believing the Lord would use us to bring peace and unity.

We had a commitment on Saturday to attend an 80th birthday party for a dear friend, Bob Vlerick, who years ago, continued a deliverance ministry I had started and was too busy to continue. After the party, we drove over four hours, arriving very late at a friend’s house to sleep a little and be ready for church the next morning, where it was obvious many were hurt and confused. The pastor shared the facts of what had really happened and had been so distorted.  I preached the word of God which is able to save, heal and deliver. There was such a strong anointing; the pastor and his family and many others came for prayer. Lots of tears, inner healing and a spirit of freedom. Jackie and I prayed for many to forgive and be set free. So many thanked us with tears for coming and bringing encouragement. We had a nice meal and fellowship at the pastor’s house and left rejoicing and praising God. We took our friend shopping for a birthday present and to dinner. We drove home the next morning to pack and leave for Dallas the next day to visit our children.

While our daughter in law, Christy, and Jackie were working to prepare a birthday party for Jack who was turning 6, Christy was holding a tall crystal bowl to move it off a table to make room for the cake. The bottom of the bowl dropped off and large pieces of thick glass fell on her feet causing two deep large gashes with much pain and bleeding. Ron took her to an Urgent Care facility where they stitched the wounds. Since the pain became more intense and she could not move her big toe, she went to see an orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed the tendon on her right foot was detached. She is having surgery on Friday, August 27th and will be in a cast for many weeks. Her mother is with her now to drive and help with the three little ones, 2, 6 and 8. When she leaves, Jackie will be taking the next shift. Please pray with us for a successful surgery, no complications, and a speedy recovery. Also, that all the needs will be met, people to help out, etc. The timing is less than perfect, because they are moving in a week, which is another story I don’t have time to share. We are all believing the Lord’s grace and healing power will cover her and that He will turn something bad into something good as only He can do.

We thank you so much for your prayers, your love and for being part of our team. Life is exciting when we live for Jesus and are ready and willing to be used as His ambassadors in this world. People are hurting and need His healing touch and presence.  Let’s ask Him to open our spiritual eyes so we don’t miss any opportunity to show His love to those around us. We love you, pray for you and appreciate you so much.

In His Service,
